Terms and conditions

For LA Permanent makeup and nails

This document is dedicated to the terms and conditions of treatment, the below details will explain what happens with payments, deposits, cancellations and rescheduling appointments

These terms and conditions are non-negotiable.

Please respect this policy and understand that upon booking that confirms that have read and agreed to these terms. If you do not wish to continue with the booking process then please contact LA PMU as soon as possible.

Please make sure your phone is on silent during the treatment and do NOT bring guests with you.

Booking Fee

All appointments booked require a £50 advanced payment (nails require a £10 deposit), payable at time of booking.  On the day of your appointment a remaining balance will be taken.  For different costs please see our 'Prices' page. If the booking fee is NOT paid, then the booking is void and will not be considered.

All payments can be made via, Paypal, bank transfer, or cash on site. I do not have a card machine so am currently unable to perform chip and pin.

Cancellation Policy

As you know we are a small independent business and ANY cancellations really do affect us, not only financially because of the loss of the treatment, but additional costs in time, rent and admin.

Our treatments take nearly 2 hours, so a late cancellation will not likely be filled.

I cannot, and will not treat anyone with any signs of illness. Covid or other Flu, Cold or Contagious illnesses are easily transmissible and we need to protect ourselves, our family, colleagues and clients. Late cancellation for any illness is still a late cancellation.

Cancelling with over 4 days notice – please call or email lornaannisonpmail.com as soon as you know you need to move your appointment.  In this instance you can transfer your booking fee to the new appointment.

Any cancellation with less than 72 hours notice will forfeit the booking fee and a new booking fee will be applied for any new booking made.

We do appreciate some things are unavoidable however we do have Email, Telephone and Answer-machine should you not be able to attend your appointment. Due to the increased number in no-shows we have implemented from January 2023, - An additional charge of £50 which will be applied to no-shows or cancels within 24 hours.  We will log card details at time of booking or send a payment request.

This means that if you 'fail' to arrive in time for your appointment, or cancel within 72 hours you will loose your original £50 payment, plus if you cancel or fail to attend under 24 hours you will be charged for a further £50.  No further appointment will be taken unless this fine is paid.

Treatment policy

No one under the age of 18 is permitted to have any form of PMU treatments even with parental consent.

Each individual treatment performed can have different effects and outcomes due to many factors. Previous work, skin type, healing process, medication, age, illness and aftercare.

Full price paying clients automatically receive a 6-8 week colour top up for their treatment. This is to check healing, colour, shape and overall desires have been achieved. Annual top ups may not need this and is reflected in the top up price list. Saline removals are priced per session and amount of lift cannot be guaranteed per individual.

Once the treatment has been performed and you will be asked to sign a treatment plan confirmation. Once this is signed and you leave the premises, the healing aftercare is in your control and LA PMU is no longer responsible for this process.

Nail treatment booking and cancellations

A booking fee of £10 is required for all nail services except for a removal. This is to be paid upon booking and will void the appointment if not completed.

For nails, the cancellation fee is half of the treatment price booked. For example,

A full set of acrylic extensions booked with a French manicure at the cost of £40 will be charged £20.

Lateness

We have a 15 minute cut off for appointments, if you are running late please call 07584651705 or 01263 478018, before your appointment. We require all clients to be in the building at their appointment time, any lateness may result in non treatment. This will then fall into the above Cancellation Policy. You are fully responsible for your own appointment and no excuses will be tolerated unless extreme emergency.

Consultation forms and patch test

A patch test is required a minimum of 24 hours prior to the treatment taking place. Usually the wrist is the main placement, where a selection of pigments and numbing agent is applied, then wrapped In film. Any irritations need to be reported asap to LA PMU and the product needs to be washed from the skin with warm soapy water. If any allergic reactions occur and you fail to notify the technician, this can and will terminate you treatment. If a reaction occurs during the treatment, I reserve my right to stop the treatment. Payment for the treatment will need to be paid in full on the day or 24 hours prior will forfeit the booking fee.

A consultation form will be provided before the treatment is carried out. This will require listing medications and illnesses if present, so please have this information to hand. The treatment will not be able to go ahead without a finished and signed consent form. This is necessary, not just for our insurance purposes but for your safety. Any misinformation can and will force a termination of the appointment.

All permanent cosmetics are considered a multiple-step appointment process. Healed results will vary with each individual client. NO guarantees will be made. Additional sessions (at an additional charge) may be required to obtain optimal desired results. Although I give my best effort to provide you with quality service, many factors can result in a less than desired outcome as each client will heal differently. In order for your new brows to heal properly (and look their very best)

please follow all Pre-Appointment Restrictions and After Care! These instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessive bleeding during the procedure can dilute and expel the pigment colour and lead to poor results. If alcohol or caffeine has been consumed within 24 hours of treatment this can have an effect on the treatment and the results. For best results please avoid this to avoid disappointment.

LA PMU reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Prices are subject to change at anytime.

Individuals with a dark pre-existing eyebrow tattoo or permanent makeup:

The tattoo or permanent makeup must be light enough for me to draw hair strokes or shade over. Saline lightening 1st may be the best option to get the PMU light enough to be covered up. If the pigment appears to be to deeply implanted and saline removal is unlikely to work, a laser treatment (not performed by me), may be necessary before a new PMU treatment plan can begin.

Guest Policy:

Due to Health Department Permit requirements, no guests under ANY circumstances are allowed in the procedure room. NO CHILDREN The waiting room is down the hall and would not be appropriate for young children to wait unaccompanied.

NO PETS. Service animals welcome.

Ineligible (NO EXECPTIONS!)

Individuals under 18 years of age: I cannot work on anyone under 18 years of age, even with parental consent.

Women who are pregnant or nursing:  As the body is going through hormonal changes, it is more prone to infections. As well, your skin may change, and results can be unpredictable.

Individuals with viral infections and/or diseases: The risk of developing an infection is higher in people with compromised immune system.

Individuals Undergoing Chemotherapy

Although permanent makeup is great for enhancing your look, I require a doctor’s note in order to perform the procedure for anyone undergoing chemotherapy. Once you are cleared from your oncologist, we can book your appointment.

Individuals with Diabetes:

It is important that your condition is stable and under control. Please consult with your physician and provide us with a doctors note.

Individuals with Thyroid Condition:

The colour of your PMU can fade faster when taken with certain thyroid medications.

Individuals with Glaucoma:

The risk of developing an eye infection is higher.

Individuals with High Blood Pressure:

Your blood pressure must be at a stable condition. You may have slightly greater bleeding than the norm. Excessive bleeding during the procedure can dilute and expel the pigment colour and lead to poor results.

Individuals with Oily Skin:

Those with very oily skin are ineligible for microblading. Powder brows are recommended for this skin type. Those with less oily or combination skin, may consider a combination of 3D digital microblading and powder effect, known as combo brows.

Individuals that are prone to cold sores (Lip Services):

If you are prone to cold sores, lip blushing may result in an outbreak and cause loss of pigment. You must start taking antiviral medication, prescribed by your doctor and NOT over the counter, 48 hours prior to treatment to prevent an outbreak.

Individuals who are allergic to lidocaine or epinephrine:

My most used anaesthetic is lidocaine and epinephrine so if you have an allergy, I will not be able to use it during the procedure. A patch test can be performed, or you will still have an option to proceed but without a numbing agent to reduce the pain although I highly recommend against this. If you choose to go ahead with the treatment without numbing but find you cannot continue you will still charged at the full rate. You can go to the GP and get a prescribed numbing agent but this will be completely upon yourself and at your own risk. I recommend that you do a 24 hour patch test with the GP prescribed agent prior to the appointment to check for further allergens. If an allergy arises from the prescribed numbing agent and the treatment cannot continue, full price won’t be charged but the booking fee will be forfeit. If notification is not known to LA PMU in 24hours or less to the treatment, a cancellation fee of £50 will apply along with the booking fee forfeit.

Photographic images

Before, during and after photos must be taken throughout the treatment for insurance purposes. This is mandatory and non-negotiable. The refusal of photos will void my insurance policy and therefore will void your appointment.

Photos used on social media sites are usually cropped and videos edited to get close up images of the work detail not the client full facial features  (same applies with nails). If you do not wish for your photos to be published please notify the technician and a note can be added to make sure this does not happen.  All images are to be watermarked and have copyrights reserved. If you would like a copy of the photos please just ask and once they have been edited we will always be happy to forward those on.

If you have any questions or querier regarding these t&c’s please do not hesitate to contact LA PMU.

Have an amazing treatment and remember we are always at hand to help as best as we can.
